Prevention of Lung Cancer - Two Important Steps

If you are a smoker, or you have been a smoker in the past, then you have to look into preventing lung cancer because you are right in the firing line! While it is impossible to say you are out of danger, there are ways you can reduce this risk to as low a level as possible.

How you do this is by first QUITTING SMOKING! and second, doing a comprehensive lung detox.

Stopping Smoking

You have to quit. Your lungs are covered with tar and poisons that all contribute immensely to your chances of lung cancer, and also cancer of other parts of your respiratory system too, such as throat cancer.

Once you have quit your body quickly starts to clear away some of the garbage and toxic stuff from cigarettes. You will also instantly improve your chances of preventing lung cancer because of it. This can be very hard however, as you well know if you have tried to end your cigarette addiction but relapsed. Some blame the withdrawals and physical pains. Others blame the psychological aspect to this addiction. The truth is that both play a part and you must learn to deal with each one separately, and together.

Lung Detoxification

Once you have stopped smoking you can begin the second part of lung cancer prevention which is to detoxify your lungs. This is about cleansing all the poisonous, toxic chemicals that cigarettes have filled your lungs with over the years. It is also about cleansing the tar that clogs your airways, damages your lungs, and blocks your body from cleansing the toxins.

This involves a few different changes you must make to your lifestyle including dietary changes, how you exercise, more vitamin and herbal supplements, and even your psychological health. Your state of mind impacts on your physical health as strange as it may sound.
